Our Mission
Aloha, my name is Chip Sanders, founder of RIPS.INFO I created this platform to help prevent water-related accidents and fatalities caused by a lack of water safety knowledge, experience, and proper precautions. Water safety is something many people overlook until they find themselves in a dangerous situation — and by then, it may already be too late. It’s important to understand that the ocean and rivers can be extremely unpredictable. Some days the water may appear calm and inviting, while other days it can become powerful and dangerous without warning. Our goal is to educate, prepare, and help people stay safe before entering the water.Today is the day you can make a difference — not only by protecting yourself, but potentially by helping save someone else’s life as well. If you take a few moments to watch the simple safety videos provided at the top of this page, you’ll gain valuable knowledge that could one day save a life. Our mission is to visit as many schools and communities as possible to spread awareness about water safety and rip current education. With your support, we can continue reaching more people and creating safer environments around our beaches, rivers, and waterways.
